background info on mkwst's present stance wrt citing WhatWG specs... Figure out how to manage normative dependencies to WHATWG HTML for features not in W3C HTML for CR/REC (mikewest aka mkwst) https://github.com/w3c/webappsec-secure-contexts/issues/9 In personal conversation, mkwst noted that the W3C HTML 5.1 and 5.2 HTML specs are highly re-formatted along with technical differences from the whatwg specs that the w3c specs are attempting to track, so in some cases he has found it infeasible to cite the W3C specs rather than the whatwg specs. e.g., see.. https://github.com/w3c/webappsec-secure-contexts/issues/9#issuecomment-2336 33338 hth, =JeffH
