Re: Face ID authentication safari IOS

That’s unfortunate, the Face ID pop-up is more clear to the end user.

What you see in the demo has been deprecated. The “passkey” verbiage is what you’ll see from now on.

          Dears,
I’m tring to implement face id authentication same as the demo from webauthn- json below:

                                           github.github.com

But I couldn’t get the same result as the demo.

When I run the demo on IOS Safari and click register, safari shows a pop-up
"Do you want to allow "github.github.com" to use Face ID?"

But when I try the same option on my website it shows
"Do you want to save a passkey for "test"?

furthermore, in the demo when I click "Other Options"
It shows the first option as Face ID.
On my website, it shows "Passkey in iCloud Keychain.

I couldn’t recognize the difference in the demo to show Face ID option.

I tried alot of demos and all of them show the same result as mine “ Do you want to save a passkey for "test"? “

If you could give me some directions of how to implement the face id authentication.

             Thank you.

             Regards,
             Ahmed ali
