Hi Here are my quick notes from our call today; no call on the 28th, next call scheduled on January 11th 2021. # WebAuthn.how Nick: could use help on inspector page Google WebAuthN tools (referenced from webauthnHow) are being deprecated, baked into Chrome - needs a different library to reference # Conformance Test suite No real update - Alex starting work on response tests, will have a bit more time to work on this Nina @Google has been working in this space - worth coordinating with her, may have tests to contribute # MOOC Yubico's laywers reviewing proposal to contribute a MOOC to W3Cx Making progress on the courseware - 60-70% of what's needed. Once this is approved internally, Yubico will share the contents with the group for reviewing and input. Timeline might align well with WebAuthn2 timeline # Market adoption metrics Dom reports requests from would-be adopters is more visibility on the addressable markets of end-users Nick: see aggregated information on devices/browser combos in https://www.dongleauth.info https://twofactorauth.org Andrew: we have some data on FIDO2-capable browsers (86%) and devices (~2.5B) - will share more info on the data and calculation ACTION: Andrew to share more usable metrics on WebAuthn market addressability # Platform-specific implementations Dom: would there be value in collecting info on platform-specific information? Yuriy: absolutely valuable Nick: +1; would not want to become a hub for bug reports though ACTION: Dom to suggest a way forward on tracking platform-specific implementations considerations Dom
