Dear members of the WebAssembly Working Group, I'm relaying the announcement to the group's primary public mailing list to notify the group of its charter extension. Best regards, Xueyuan Jia, W3C Marketing & Communications -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: VOTE by 2023-11-09/10: Proposed Charter for the WebAssembly Working Group; Current Charter Extended Date: Wed, 11 Oct 2023 20:16:56 +0800 From: xueyuan <xueyuan@w3.org> To: w3c-ac-members@w3.org Dear Advisory Committee Representative, [This announcement will be forwarded to W3C group chairs] This is a Call for Review of a proposed recharter for the WebAssembly Working Group: https://www.w3.org/2023/wasm-wg-charter.html Please review the charter and indicate your support using the following form: https://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/33280/wasm-charter-2023/ The deadline for responses is 04:59 UTC on 10 November 2023 (23:59, Boston time on 9 November) [0] The charter continues the group’s work on the same deliverables as the current charter, with the addition of a plan for a deliverable for the WebAssembly Component Model, which is “a broad-reaching architecture for building interoperable Wasm libraries, applications, and environments”: https://component-model.bytecodealliance.org/ Because this charter has a new deliverable that was not in the previous charter, Advisory Committee representatives of current participants will need to have their organizations re-join the group if the revised charter gets approved. The expected staff involvement is 0.1 FTE. The horizontal review of the charter is available at: https://github.com/w3c/strategy/issues/325 To see all changes relative to the current charter, follow this link: https://services.w3.org/htmldiff?doc1=https://www.w3.org/2020/03/webassembly-wg-charter.html&doc2=https://www.w3.org/2023/wasm-wg-charter.html The current charter [1] is hereby extended until 30 November 2023 to accommodate the charter review period. More information about the group can be found on its home page [2], including information about group Chairs, Staff Contact, and instructions for joining the group. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact the working group's staff contact, Michael[tm] Smith, at mike@w3.org.
