Hi everyone, On February 10, the WebAssembly WG met and discussed several topics. The notes are posted here: https://github.com/WebAssembly/meetings/pull/716. The WG reached consensus in the meeting on several items: 1) Standardize the Bulk Memory and Reference Types proposals (advancing them to phase 5 of the process, https://github.com/WebAssembly/meetings/blob/master/process/phases.md). As they are mutually dependent, the plan is to merge them into the spec together. 2) Adopt the new version (15 September 2020) of the W3C Patent policy ( https://www.w3.org/Consortium/Patent-Policy-20200915/). This will allow (but not require) us to use a "living document" for the wasm spec (instead of tagging distinct numbered versions). We will discuss in the future whether we actually want to do that or not. If you are a WG member and have concerns or objections about these decisions, please contact the WG chairs at team-wasm-chairs@w3.org by March 8, 2021. Assuming no objections, the decisions will become official at that time. Thanks! Derek
