Any way of using wasm without JS API ?

Hi to all,


sorry if this has been asked before or if its simpy a dumb question.


As I understand, state of the matters today is that, at least within a 
browser, road to Wasm VM goes through JS API park.


But is there at least a plan for some future wasm spec to be able to be 
activated more directly, like with script tag in html or perhaps invoked 
dirrectly when .wasm file is requested etc ?
