For your information: -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: UI Events KeyboardEvent key Values and UI Events KeyboardEvent code Values are now W3C Recommendations Date: Tue, 22 Apr 2025 15:22:15 +0800 From: xueyuan <xueyuan@w3.org> To: w3c-ac-members@w3.org Dear Advisory Committee Representative, Chairs, It is my pleasure to announce that the following documents are now W3C Recommendations: UI Events KeyboardEvent key Values https://www.w3.org/TR/2025/REC-uievents-key-20250422/ UI Events KeyboardEvent code Values https://www.w3.org/TR/2025/REC-uievents-code-20250422/ The UI Events KeyboardEvent key Values specification defines the key attribute values that must be used for KeyboardEvent’s key attribute, which is defined as part of the UI Events Specification. The UI Events KeyboardEvent code Values specification defines the values for the KeyboardEvent.code attribute, which is defined as part of the UI Events Specification. The code value contains information about the key event that can be used to identify the physical key being pressed by the user. All Members who responded to the Call for Review of the Proposed Recommendations showed support, with several reviewers indicating that they produce or expect to produce products that use these specifications. Please join us in congratulating the W3C Web Applications Working Group [1] on this achievement. This announcement follows section 5.7.2 of the W3C Process Document: https://www.w3.org/policies/process/20231103/#ACReviewAfter Thank you, For Philippe le Hégaret, W3C Strategy and Project Lead, Xiaoqian Wu and Michael[tm] Smith, Web Applications WG Team Contacts; Xueyuan Jia, W3C Marketing & Communications [1] https://www.w3.org/groups/wg/webapps
