Dear Advisory Committee Representative,
Chairs,

The Service Workers Working Group charter [1] is hereby extended until
31 December 2020.

The mission of the Service Workers Working Group is to enable Web
applications to take advantage of persistent background processing,
including hooks to enable bootstrapping of web applications while offline.

The Group will continue to work on the published Candidate
Recommendation. While no major scope change is expected, the Group would
like to adopt Process 2020 in its new charter.

More information about this group and information about participation
can be found on its home page [2].

The group is currently chaired by Jake Archibald (Google) and Jungkee
Song (Microsoft).

If you have any questions or need further information, please contact
the Service Workers Working Group Team Contact, Yves Lafon <ylafon@w3.org>.

This extension follows section 5.2.5 of the W3C Process Document:
   https://www.w3.org/2019/Process-20190301/#charter-extension

Thank you,

For Tim Berners-Lee, W3C Director;
Yves Lafon, Service Workers WG Team Contact;
Xueyuan Jia, W3C Marketing & Communications
