FYI... -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: TPAC: W3C Dev Meetup Monday night (Oct 22) Date: Wed, 19 Sep 2018 14:10:18 +0200 From: Dominique Hazael-Massieux <dom@w3.org> To: Dominique Hazael-Massieux <dom@w3.org> CC: Marie-Claire Forgue <mcf@w3.org> Dear TPAC Participant, You have registered as a participant for TPAC 2018; as you may know, W3C is organizing on the Monday night of that week (October 22) a developers meetup, combining demos from W3C Working and Community Groups, and a set of 5 talks on Web technologies, followed by drinks and snacks: https://www.w3.org/2018/10/Meetup/ This event is open to all (including non TPAC participants) at no cost; since space is limited, we need to keep track of who will be attending the event. To that end, we ask interested participants to register for the event at: https://ti.to/w3c/w3c-developer-meetup-lyon-2018 The meetup is hosted in a separate venue from the main TPAC venue, 30 minutes away in public transportation (as described in the Meetup page). We take the opportunity to thank Université de Lyon for hosting the devmeetup! In addition to public transportation, we will provide two private buses leaving from the TPAC Congress Center at 5:45pm and 6:15pm, accommodating a total of maximum 100 persons on a first arrived first served basis. These buses will be one-way only, bringing TPAC participants to the venue, but NOT bringing them back to the congress center. Meetup participants can either enjoy the close-by downtown Lyon after the event, or use public transportation to get back to the Congress Center area. We would also like to draw your attention that TPAC is organized this year the same week and in the same venue as a local Web conference, Blend Web Mix (Wednesday / Thursday): https://www.blendwebmix.com/en/ If your TPAC schedule allows for it and if you are interested in participating to this conference, please note that W3C TPAC participants are entitled to a 20% discount on registration to the conference with the code "COMMW3C20". Should you have any question on any of this, please feel free to contact Marie-Claire Forgue <mcf@w3.org> and Dominique Hazael-Massieux <dom@w3.org>. Looking forward to seeing many of you during the W3C Dev Meetup on October 22! And many thanks to sponsors Microsoft, Mozilla, Qwant, NTT Comm, StickerMule and WithYou for their support in making this event happen! Marie-Claire Forgue & Dominique Hazael-Massieux W3C Developer Meetup organizers
