Some suggested changes:

  * In section 2, in 'must also implement Element Traversal' replace
'Element Traversal' with '<a
href="#interface-elementTraversal"><code>ElementTraversal</code></a>'.
  * s/encounteres/encounters/
  * In section 2.5, s/evocation of/accessing/
  * In section 3.1, put a space after the second '//' in the example.
  * In appendix C, remove the "public"s from each method; "public" is
always implied on an interface in Java. 
  * The entries in the References appendix should be updated to use the
familiar bibliographic format suggested by the W3C Manual of Style
(http://www.w3.org/2001/06/manual/#ref-section).
