Web Apps WG Members, This e-mail serves as a formal proposal to advance the Element Traversal spec to Candidate Recommendation. The disposition of comments for this spec's Last Call WD is [LC-comments]. Doug's latest Editor's Draft is the basis for the CR version [ET] and it includes the following information in the Status of the Document: [[ The Web Applications (WebApps) Working Group expects to request that the Director advance this document to Proposed Recommendation once the Working Group has developed a comprehensive Element Traversal test suite, and demonstrated at least two interoperable implementations for each test. The WebApps Working Group expects to show these implementations by November 2008, based on known implementations. The Working Group does not plan to request to advance to Proposed Recommendation prior to 01 November 2008. ]] A WBS poll was created to consolidate the results of the question "Do you approve advancing the Element Traversal spec to Candidate Recommendation?": <http://www.w3.org/2002/09/wbs/42538/ET-Advance-2-CR/> Please respond by August 7 (the poll will close on the 8th). Silence on this proposal will be considered the same as submitting a "Yes" but we prefer explicit consent. -Regards, Art Barstow [ET] <http://dev.w3.org/2006/webapi/ElementTraversal/publish/ ElementTraversal.html> [LC-comments] <http://www.w3.org/2006/02/lc-comments-tracker/42538/ ElementTraversal/doc/>
