Using double aligns this API with attributes like [BaseAudioContext.currentTime](https://webaudio.github.io/web-audio-api/#dom-baseaudiocontext-currenttime) and [HTMLMediaElement.currentTime](https://html.spec.whatwg.org/multipage/media.html#dom-media-currenttime) which uses double and is measured in seconds.
