evanstade created an issue (w3c/IndexedDB#506) The spec [says](https://www.w3.org/TR/IndexedDB/#convert-a-value-to-a-key) a "buffer source type" can be a key. That [includes](https://webidl.spec.whatwg.org/#buffer-types) `ArrayBuffer` and `SharedArrayBuffer`. There is also [non-normative text](https://www.w3.org/TR/IndexedDB/#key-construct) in the IDB spec that makes it seem like only `ArrayBuffer` would be allowed. This was [recently fixed in Chromium](https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/chromium/src/+/8393497). This was [recently disallowed in Firefox](https://github.com/mozilla-firefox/firefox/commit/4b248a1b1aae3fe9e7449ab8bbb2e49393948647). I don't really see much purpose in allowing SAB, and it seems most likely that few to no legitimate sites use SAB as a key (since it didn't work before), and I've never heard it being requested either. -- Reply to this email directly or view it on GitHub: https://github.com/w3c/IndexedDB/issues/506 You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.
