monica-ch left a comment (w3c/ServiceWorker#1849) Thanks, @yoshisatoyanagisawa. I looked into the completion question and kept this fire-and-forget in 55d9288. Waiting for the unregister jobs could confirm removal from the registration map, but not that the registrations have been fully cleared; `Clear Registration` can be deferred while clients or lifetime work still use them. Returning a promise would also require an environment/client change because the current job-promise machinery does not resolve promises for clientless jobs. The current FedCM teardown model stops dispatching when the declaration disappears and permits registration removal to happen asynchronously. Clear-Site-Data similarly invokes `unregister()` without waiting for its promise. @Brandr0id, could you confirm that this asynchronous contract works for the FedCM identity-handler teardown path? -- Reply to this email directly or view it on GitHub: https://github.com/w3c/ServiceWorker/pull/1849#issuecomment-5606572811 You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.
