Elsewhere I've used language like "Wait for _someVariable_ to be _someValue_". This needs to be in parallel steps of course. [Example](https://wicg.github.io/background-fetch/#perform-a-background-fetch-algorithm:~:text=Wait%20for%20settledFetches%20to%20be%20bgFetch%E2%80%99s%20records%27s%20size%2C%20or%20immediateFailure%20to%20be%20true).
