@annevk Oh no, sorry, I didn't mean that. I meant that the information must be being defined elsewhere, not actually extracted at compile time from the linked URL.

I think specific version seems to be from that `biblio-ut.data` file I linked earlier, whose data is generated in [updateBiblio.py](https://github.com/speced/bikeshed/blob/3a2640eecd45fd5d8abe5d37b5adaf23cc945b88/bikeshed/update/updateBiblio.py#L93-L98) and comes from https://api.specref.org/bibrefs:
