As far as naming goes, the best I have is uncertainty.  It's the term that metrologists use, which is why it ended up in [RFC 7459](https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc7459).  Of course, then you need to think about confidence, which that document recommends setting to a fixed value, rather than signaling it.
