sideshowbarker left a comment (whatwg/fetch#1824) I would be happy to see the term _“non-preflighted request”_ elevated further in the spec itself — and happy to see that the MDN docs get updated to use that. As far as the _“CORS-safelisted request”_, it seems me that could be potentially confusing to developers — in that at least some might mistakenly assume that any request that just uses a CORS-safelisted _method_ will necessarily be a “CORS-safelisted request”.
