ZainabAq created an issue (w3ctag/design-reviews#1114) Hi TAG, I'm requesting an early TAG design review of Script Blocking in Incognito. This is a proposal for a Chrome feature in Incognito mode that will block the execution of known, prevalent techniques for browser re-identification used in third-party contexts. These techniques generally involve the use of existing browser APIs in ways that do not match the API's intended purpose and are designed to extract additional information about the user's browser or device characteristics. - Explainer¹: https://github.com/explainers-by-googlers/script-blocking - User research: N/A - Security and Privacy self-review²: https://github.com/GoogleChrome/ip-protection/blob/main/security-privacy-questionnaire.md - GitHub repo: https://github.com/explainers-by-googlers/script-blocking - Primary contacts: - @mikewest, Google - @zainabaq, Google - @jhbradley, Google - Organization/project driving the design: Privacy Sandbox - This work is being funded by: Google - Incubation and standards groups that have discussed the design: N/A - Standards group(s) that you expect to discuss and/or adopt this work when it's ready: WHATWG - Multi-stakeholder feedback³: - Chromium comments: N/A - Mozilla comments: Firefox has a similar feature as part of "Enhanced Tracking Protection" - WebKit comments: Safari has a similar feature as part of "Intelligent Tracking Prevention" - [x] I have reviewed the TAG's [Web Platform Design Principles](https://www.w3.org/TR/design-principles/) -- Reply to this email directly or view it on GitHub: https://github.com/w3ctag/design-reviews/issues/1114 You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.
