Hi @lilles, the TAG discussed it and believe this is on the right track. The use cases are strong, and we did not see considerations beyond the typical scope of CSS.

We also discussed the ergonomics of the new syntax and whether the limitations may affect the usage, and we are happy to see that these have been discussed in the explainer.
