This "solution" comes with many drawbacks, or at least hard-to-answer questions: 

- How would such an element affect `:empty`? 
- How would it interact with `:nth-child`? 
- Would it show up in `el.children`?
- How does it affect `flex` or `grid` layouts?

And that's just what comes to mind after thinking about it for one minute.

An even if there were transient solutions to all of that, it would still affect old browsers never implementing `<parsed />`.
