Re: [w3c/manifest] Feature Request: Support version field in Web App Manifest to align with app store requirements (Issue #1157)

Ok, so let's put aside the store aspect. On Mac OS, when adding to doc, we get the following two version information strings:

One is of the version of Safari that is running the app, and the other shows the version from the app bundle (inside the plist... I confirmed this by setting it to "2.0").

The version information string is opaque and wouldn't be computable (i.e., this is more for communicating it's different from some other "version").
