Hey @frivoal ,
sure, it sounds like that approach is achieving the same goals as what we had with this, it is overall cleaner and it's also better in terms of patent questions. Even though right now it seems like there is no reason to resurrect it in the future, the browser landscape is constantly changing and in case EditContext is unshipped at some time in the future, we may indeed have to go back to this.

I take it that this will require a new resolution, so we can have that on the agenda of the call on February 14th.
