Re: [w3ctag/design-reviews] Early design review: Document Picture-in-Picture (Issue #798)

The TAG revisited this issue today, and have decided to close this review as unsatisfied. We would prefer enhancing `window.open()`, as described in [Lea's comment above](https://github.com/w3ctag/design-reviews/issues/798#issuecomment-2108154590), as a way to address your use cases more in line with Web platform architecture.

(Personally, I also remain concerned with adding a feature like this to the Web platform without a clear strategy for making it available on entire classes of very popular, Web-capable devices.)
