Re: [w3c/uievents] Define events directly caused by user interaction (#270)

@zcorpan I was recently talking with Marcos about that, because I've wanted it to move forward but have had relatively few people who provided feedback or comments (although those that did were great). I certainly could have pushed this work more aggressively, but it's hard to motivate working on something that requires a lot of work when few people appear to be interested. I'm thrilled that you found it useful.

In any case, we discussed how we might transition from the current mess to a rewrite using algorithms, and have a few good concrete first steps that I'm working on now. The difficult part will be to get agreement on when it is in a good enough state so we can swap out the current text for the algorithm version.

I've considered suggesting this for the upcoming virtual breakout sessions, but I've done that in the past and only had 1 person show up. Perhaps there's now more interest in this topic.
