Re: [whatwg/dom] Proposal: asynchronous event listeners (Issue #1308)

That makes total sense to me, and overlaps entirely with the "lazy-loaded event listener" use case I mentioned.  It's just slightly orthogonal to the original proposal here.

(Not to say that all the async use cases shouldn't be discussed together)
