It's probably also worth noting that the lack of a canonical answer for how to schedule these types of DOM based effects is a big reason that "effects" are left out of the current [Signals proposal](https://github.com/tc39/proposal-signals?tab=readme-ov-file#implementing-effects).

Also, it seems possible to construct, and may be wroth doing, a tree ordered scheduler using Signals as a proof of concept for this idea.
