@himself65 Your question is about the TypeScript type definitions, so you should look at https://github.com/microsoft/TypeScript/ and/or https://github.com/microsoft/TypeScript-DOM-lib-generator/.

That said, it's already been fixed in https://github.com/microsoft/TypeScript-DOM-lib-generator/pull/1701, so in a future version of TypeScript your code snippet should get proper type checking. (I don't know if this will already be available in version 5.5, I'm not with the TypeScript team.)
