@justinfagnani Very well reasoned response, and regarding "We must recognize that real-world developers have real-world constraints" — that's why I understand the demand for this feature. I just personally can't muster up a lot of enthusiasm for a new API which feels more like a stopgap measure than a best practice in the long-term. OTOH, styling nested light DOM nodes from within a shadow DOM beyond what `::slotted` can provide does seem like it would be a useful API to have regardless (aka `/slotted/`), but it sounds like that's on hold for the time being.
