Thanks @garykac for your input. It definitely clarifies/reinforces some of the thoughts we discussed in this issue. I've created another issue to discuss the `USVString` issue for the `input` event. It also includes the composition events: https://github.com/w3c/uievents/issues/352 As you mentioned, Firefox is the only implementation that doesn't follow that issue at the moment.
