Sometimes I write comments too hastily.  To clarify: I've _informally_ reviewed SCT -- I'm not a member of any standards bodies, only a keen technologist -- and my proposal is to some extent competing, but there's no mutual exclusion between them (that is to say: both could be deployed in parallel).
