If this was already apparent though, I’m not sure I can provide an answer that you’d be satisfied with — a [[Set]] algorithm that mutates the wrong argument seems self-evidently like a bug to me. In typical usage, the wrong argument happens to have the same value as the right one, it’s true ... but bug fixes usually aren’t gated on use cases? Maybe I’ve misunderstood something about what you’re asking? (Or offended?
