@lucacasonato How it would work in your proposal? How do I know that the server won't give me a 404 or 401? I am not going to start streaming a video camera, and *then* the server gives me a 401, and I have to go through auth, and then restart the stream. That won't work. When can I start sending the stream? See my questions in https://github.com/whatwg/fetch/issues/1438#issuecomment-1160549610
