Yeah :( I'm inclined, for this spec (not for [manifest-app-info](https://github.com/w3c/manifest-app-info/)!), to consider anything that's browser out of scope. It might still be possible to crawl a manifest, but maybe just ignore browser specific stuff. The limitation being that one might not be able to create a store where a user installs apps directly from. For App Store installs, I wonder if we should just come up with a new set of fields specific for that.
