938cb06 is a strawman sketch of proxy support. Surprisingly little of RFC6455 section 4.1 step 3 seems to actually be needed.

The "total pending proxy WebSocket connections" map is fiction, but I don't want to standardise Chromium's embarrassing behaviour. I would be interested to learn what other browsers do here.
