This should better be called “Munsell renotations as an ICC profile”. It’s basically just one way of implementing the 1943 lookup table produced by the OSA. It’s not really comparable to CIELAB as an analytical model. (But it’s reasonably close, because CIELAB and later color models were explicitly designed to match Munsell renotation data.)
