"RGB" can similarly refer to a multitude of spaces, but the spec nails down its precise meaning just fine. For most people the exact details don't matter; for those that do, reading the spec tells them exactly what they need to know. (Note as well the line in that comment "Nowadays it also doesn’t really make sense to use CIELUV for anything.") > And what is some day we want to add support for polar CAM16 or polar JzAzBz? If we decide those are reasonable to add as top-level functions, we can figure out names at that point. If not, they can be smuggled in via `color()`, possibly as predefined colorspaces.
