As far as I'm aware none of these module systems existed when CSS Modules was designed, built or conceived. Questioning them 4 years later why they named it that way is disrespectful. CSS Modules is an immensely popular project as both @markdalgleish and I have demonstrated. If you forge on without changing the name, then you'd be willingly ignorant of the future problems you're knowingly creating for developers trying to implement CSS Modules.
