Ultimately, you'd need to convince browsers to change their HTML parser. As I alluded to above, that seems unlikely to happen, but you're welcome to try again. As an alternative I've been wondering if we should revive "[XML5](https://annevankesteren.nl/2007/10/xml5)", which would allow for solving this problem, as well as declarative shadow trees.
