Worth mentioning that there were web-exposed implementations of backdrop-filter in Webkit and EdgeHTML, in addition to Chrome's flagged feature. They weren't all consistent in the details, but @mfreed7's PR, now incorporated in the draft, addressed many inconsistencies. I'm not sure the status of updating the WebKit implementation to match.
