This feature is currently partially implemented in chromium, hidden behind a flag:

--enable-blink-features=AnimationWorklet

The focus of the implementation was to get something working for [Animation Worklet](https://drafts.css-houdini.org/css-animationworklet/). As such:

1. At the time of writing, it does not work for [Web Animations](https://drafts.csswg.org/web-animations-1/).
2. At the time of writing, the CSS sections of the spec have not been implemented
