Ok. Yeah, my inexperience with WebIDL is probably obvious at this point. I suppose the exact semantics of explicit `null`s and `undefined`s is of lesser importance, but I believe that treating them as equivalent to an empty dictionary everywhere will keep causing confusion by implicitly eliminating a very natural design pattern.
