That's another good question @xiaochengh. Targeting the element that contains the selection's _start_ sounds less complex? That's also what the spec already says...  but means Firefox has to change...?

Carets are, in practice selections where start = end, is that right? @rniwa So saying "target the selection's start" is correct also for carets, right?

Do you agree that "if the context is editable"-phrasing isn't accurate?
