This is something that we've considered, but I don't think we would ever expose the site-provided request reason in Chrome UI. As was noted in the meeting notes, placing site-provided data in trusted UI has the potential to mislead users into believing that the reason given is trustworthy, when in fact it may not be. The same argument applies even with a predefined set of reasons why the data may be needed. The site can say "I need your location so I can show you your position on the map" but there's nothing stopping it from also using it for ad targeting. -- You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.
