Re: [whatwg/encoding] Differences between tests and specification (#169)

Exciting to hear about another (presumably) low-level implementation existing.

For gbk and gb18030 there's #56 and #57.

However, as far as this project is concerned only the tests in https://github.com/web-platform-tests/wpt/tree/master/encoding are authoritative. I'd support a restructuring of those tests that makes them more driven based on JSON data resources rather than have it all encoded in HTML and JavaScript (see https://github.com/web-platform-tests/wpt/tree/master/mimesniff/mime-types for an example of such a setup).

Perhaps @r12a can help fixing the resources you found, but he hasn't been responsive in the other issues either lately...
