Ah, it looks CSS Scoping already has a [section](https://drafts.csswg.org/css-scoping/#default-element-styles ), which might support [my proposal](https://github.com/w3c/webcomponents/issues/468#issuecomment-378162872) well. I proposed my proposal without knowing there is such a section. The basic idea, such as "complex selectors must be treated as invalid", looks very similar *by accident*.
