@annevk: My contact at CESI told me that a draft of the GB 18030 is expected to be available sometime this year, and is expected to fix known issues, such as [this one](https://blogs.adobe.com/CCJKType/2014/05/uni4548.html) and the presence of PUA code points when a non-PUA code point is available.
