@annevk fair point. I was addressing this more from the perspective of "assuming you've made up your mind on an API design, here is how Web IDL's tools work best in helping you accomplish that". But I think we should also add another layer of advice explaining that for most of the scenarios where overloads are better, the API would be better designed with separate methods.
