Ok, this is more or less ready to go now. Anyone want to be a hero and give the spec text one last look over? Maybe @patrickkettner for a fresh perspective (you can ignore the "implementation/" files - though feedback on those tests would be welcome).

@kenchris I think I've addressed all your feedback. 

I'm away this week at a training course and part of next week at JS Conf AU in Melbourne - but will try to check and makes any updates in the evening.
