@tobie and I were wondering what the reason is for prototype properties to not be considered for open dictionaries. I'm not sure @jyasskin motivated the difference with dictionaries in this thread and it might not have been intentional. > We have the animation stuff, which really has a fixed set of possible props, This is not true. As far as I can tell https://w3c.github.io/web-animations/#processing-a-keyframes-argument supports custom properties, so it's open-ended. It does seem that algorithm although first treating things like dictionaries, then also doesn't consider prototype properties.
